First Person RPG Demo
A downloadable Depths of Mergor for Windows
Prototype build of a first person action rpg . Sort of TES Arena mixed with diablo.
It has a fully functioning save and inventory system, classes and stats.
Feedback is very much appreciated. I'd like to turn this into a full game.
Controls:
WASD - Movement
Double tap the movement keys to dodge.
F - Interact button
I - inventory
Right click or hotbar to equip items
Esc- Exit
The plan is to finish a small scale rpg with trading, probably some sort of crafting like cooking and potions and bosses.
I have also uploaded the Most stable source file so you folks can dig around the code.
All graphics are drawn by me and can be used however you please.

Interesting and hope, that in the future full version will be available. Good luck :3
Which engine have you used for this?
gamemaker studio 2
That's amazing!! That's the same thing I use. How the hell did you manage that???
dragonite spam gamemaker 3d tutorials and lots of practice. its basically a 2d game rendered in 3d
Thanks! It looks truly awesome. Is there any chance of you posting the editable for download, now that the idea of a full game is abandoned?
Sure thing. I uploaded it here directly so anyone can dig around my code.
If you have questions hit me up but it might take a while until I reply.

Are you going to update this game? Because I really love it!
Not really. It was an exercise in optimization and art.
I have learned a lot of new tricks with this project.
But bit things are coming for Trenchpunk. Stay tuned ;)
Another great masterpiece of the maker of Trenchpunk. The game is still in development but has a great potential. Can't wait for the update!
Hey I reviewed live on stream and wanted to leave behind a review! THIS WAS AMAZING! I absolutely fell in love with the the art style and the soundtrack was great aswell! There were some issues with in my opinion the damage that the barbarians do however this is just in my opinion. I followed you and really really hope you make a full fledge game like this!
Game + Review:
Thank you for playing my demo and giving your feedback
I will consider invincibility frames.
The mage really cannot handle a lot of punishment as damage resistances are class specific.
The Knight for instance can tank a lot more hits.
Ah that makes a lot more sense as far as the mage being less tanky then the knight. That make sense as far as how glass cannon feeling the mage felt! Again this was probably amongst my favorites I played yesterday and I really hope you make a full project like this! Keep it up and have a great day!
